NOTABLE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Hasan Ramadhan Gyunda is also an Advocate of the High Court and Subordinate Courts thereto save for Primary Courts. Mr. Gyunda holds an LL.M in Migration and Refugee Law at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Law under the auspice of the Center for the Study of Forced Migration sponsored by the German Education Exchange Service and graduated in 2016. Mr. Gyunda also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law School of Tanzania in 2016. He also holds an LL.B degree at the Mzumbe University in 2013.

Mr. Gyunda’s interest in research is mainly in Human Rights, forced migrations (refugee rights, internally displaced persons, and stateless persons), regional and sub regional economic integration laws (the EAC Law, SADC etc), law of the child, legal drafting as well as social security rights. He did his LL.M Dissertation on the Migrant Workers Social Security Laws in Tanzania: Challenges and Prospects for Realization. In this study, he identified social security laws not in harmony within the sub regional integrations ie the EAC. And thus, it is not easy for the transferability of social security benefits from one country (working country) to the country of origin.

Mr. Gyunda is also a very vibrant litigant. Before he teamed up with Primo Attorneys he worked as the Managing Counsel at Gyunda & Co. Advocates, a law firm based in Morogoro from 2016 to date. He has been engaged by clients in different fields of law such that, drafting mortgage deeds for different financial institutions, representation of clients in courts of law both in civil and criminal litigation, doing research in controversial legal issue, making legal consultancy in different institutions and among others.

Mr. Gyunda has been engaged in the high-profile cases involving public interest litigation in both criminal and civil litigations. He has been engaged in different financial and commercial institution in legal consultancy in areas of insurance, mortgages, tax laws, labour laws, etc. He has worked with MORUWASA as legal counsel in a special agreement, Mahashree (T) Co. Ltd as the advocate and consultant, and many more.
